Installation of automated temperature controllers in heating systems of Ivano-frankivsk budget institutions
Project goal
The main project goal is to save budget costs used for paying heat bills through reducing energy consumption in the budget establishments and institutions, maintaining proper temperature mode in the buildings during working hours.
Project participants
The main project initiator and executor, as well as guarantor of loan repayment is the Ivano-frankivsk City Executive Committee.
Project measures
- installing automated heat metering systems in 51 institutions (schools, kindergartens, polyclinics, cultural establishments), financed from the municipal budget (total heat load of these institutions is 16.3 Gcal/h, their area is over 200 000 m2);
- weatherization and windows insulation by the thermoelastolayer.
Project benefits
- maintaining optimal temperature in the buildings;
- reducing expenditures of the municipal budget on heat bills (estimated savings is 5,400 Gcal of heat or Hr.390,000 per year);
- using saved funds for solving other important problems of the city;
Annual reduction of energy consumption
900 t c.e.
Annual reduction of GHG emissions
1,400 t of СО2-equivalent.
Total project cost and required investments
- project equity financing is Hr.500,000 ($94,300);
- loan is Hr.1,000,000 ($188,700).
Financing mechanism
Financing mechanism is the loan of а commercial bank or UKRESCO.
Loan guarantee
Guarantee of the Ivano-frankivsk Executive Committee.
